Driving in to fill up as normal last yesterday & before I filled up yesterday checked the trip computer to find Av. Fuel = 9.4/100km where I would have expected around 11.5L. Try explain that?

Don't worry, just another one of me mindless post. When I bought the car it was running 12.7 and it's been getting better ever since.

My TF is runnin' heaps rough, Somebody said its probley my valve lifters sticking, My clutch aint slippin but feels ****, my boss said the bearings on my water pump are making a noise and my tyres are pretty much bald. Despite all this I pull the best figure so far on fuel economy with a 467km at the dead bottom. Yew! Now just have to fix up the car and figure how you guys manage 500

Geez, 467 is veeery thirsty ... your car must be running rough!! Mebbe check your injectors as well ... ?

I can consistently get 560-580 to a tank in my auto 3.5L TH ...!

And yeah, the trip computer does use your driving history to determine the range to empty - mine usually says 570 upon fill-up but if I'm refuelling after a long trip it goes way up to 800 or so, then drops really quickly when I get back into suburbia!

might be doin better this week, was up to 120k just (JUST JUST JUST) after the first 1/8th mark. Im goin to try a bit more restraint and avoid the need to show up Red platers and I'll check back at the end of the week with what I got out of this tank.

As soon as you plant your foot the good fuel economy is out the window. If you drive with even a slightly heavy right foot, don't expect good economy.
